“Living with Disabilities” (DVD)

Through Mississippi Film Video Alliance the Council developed a DVD featuring Living with Disabilities DVD About the Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities, Community Recreation, Community Employment, Community Living, Self-Determination and Self-Advocacy and Person-Centered Planning. The focus of this DVD is to share “best and positive practices” for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Transportation Guide

Through Region 8 Community Mental Health Services a product was developed titled “Mississippi Transportation Guide”. This guide identifies transportation needs and issues in Mississippi for individuals with disabilities and developmental disabilities. It also offers suggestions to policy makers.

Person Centered Planning Guide

The Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities has promoted the use of person/family centered planning for many groups including individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages, and for persons with other related disabilities. Our style has been received well and requested by persons in other states.
